B’shalach for Teens: Shabbat Sha-raps

In last week’s parasha, the Israelites were told they could leave Egypt, but now Pharaoh changes his mind! The Israelites still leave but with little time to prepare; an exciting exodus ensues. Then they're in the desert - listen to learn about that, too! 

Bo for Teens: Shabbat Sha-raps

After God sends seven plagues upon the Egyptians, Pharaoh still will not free the Jewish slaves. God sends two more plagues, but Pharaoh still will not let the people go. God warns Moses about the killing of the first born and the Israelites put blood on their doorposts so that the angel of death will pass over them (That's where the word “Passover” comes from!). Listen now to find out what happens when Pharaoh’s son is killed. 

Va-eira for Teens: Shabbat Sha-raps

God enlists Moses and Aaron to tell the people they will be freed, and they show God’s power to the Egyptians. The first seven plagues occur, and each time Pharaoh says he will not let the Israelites go. Listen to the rap to hear the first 7 plagues!  

Sh’mot for Teens: Shabbat Sha-raps

The new Pharoah enslaves the Jewish people and orders all of their sons to be killed. Moses is put in a basket and found in the Nile.  He grows up as a prince, but then learns he’s Jewish and decides that he wants to help his people.

Vayechi for Teens: Shabbat Sha-raps

This parasha tells of Jacob’s end. Before he goes, he blesses his grandchildren and gives each of his 12 sons, who become the 12 tribes, a prediction of his future. Joseph says he will care for his brothers and tells them that they can return to Canaan. Joseph lives until he is 110 years old; listen now to hear from him!
